I love me a great chambray shirt! This forever 21 find for under $20 bucks was a great investment! I wear it all the time and the great thing about a good chambray top is that it can be dressed up or dressed down. In this look, I paired the top with a comfy jersey mini skirt from ASOS. To accessorize, I paired this ensemble with the coveted Margiela Candy Clutch that I scored on eBay! I also added my ASOS glitter shades and necklace from Spike the Punch.

I’m backkkk! Grad school + working has been rough, but finally I have some free time for blogging and its one of my 2013 resolutions to blog more so get ready for some awesome fatshions!
NYC is full force into winter which means the weather is in the 20s and 30s. But alas, it isn’t too hard to stay cute and warm. This winter NYC has been all about the FAUX-FUR statement coat. This hooded faux-fur beauty from ASOS was perfect for me, and very very warm! If I wear it over 30 degrees I’m going to be sweating! Some similar options are: THIS, THIS, and THIS.
I am so obsessed with the peplum trend! Peplum creates a beautiful feminine silhouette on all body-types and sizes. If you haven’t already gotten into peplum, get to it: HERE, HERE, HERE!

It is finally beginning to feel like fall in NYC! Bring on cute blazers, leather jackets, tights and layers because I’m sooooo ready for fall fashion. Sweater Weather=Best Weather. I’ve had these ASOS leggings for a while and they are so cute, I always get compliments on them. I also finally found a chambray top I like with this Forever21+ $25 find. Chambray top with leggings, cute boots and a statement bag!? Sounds like the perfect NYC fall uniform. I am teaching at a preschool this year and finishing up grad-school at night so this fall is all about being fashionable and comfortable everyday [working with four year old’s is a very messy job!].
P.S. I’m obsessed with these boots, prepare to see them all the time!!!

I am very patiently awaiting autumn, but I have to say, I am quite overrrrr the heat. Bring on sweaters, jackets, leather, boots, scarves… I’m ready! Here are some of my newest fall pieces to my wardrobe. This plum feather vest is amaze, and was such a good forever 21 find for under 30$. These bad bitch gold studded boots are officially my favoritest boots so prepare yourselves to see them all the time. Can we please talk about this perfect neon green Kate Spade bag [on super sale!] with gold hardware… it’s a perfect fall statement bag! I’m predicting that leather+gold+spikes+neon are still going to be totally on trend this fall. [P.S. Polka dots are forever timeless and always on trend. Always.]

I’m back! Sorry darlings, I just started working full time again as a preschool teacher and this summer I’m also taking grad school classes trying to finish my master’s… so I have been a bit busy! I just bought this dress from Forever 21+ and I had to share!
Its not easy staying fashionable when the temperature outside is over 90 degrees plus NYC’s 100% humidity… but here is how to make it work: Stick with a light dress and minimal accessories. Look for light breathable fabrics and pair them with a bright shoe. Here I styled this back chiffon cut out dress with a metallic pink belt from ASOS Curve and hot pink barbie like heels from Forever 21. Remember ladies, just because its hot out doesn’t mean we can’t be fashionable and comfortable!!

Happy Father’s Day!!! To celebrate having the best Dad ever, my family went on a brunch booze cruise around NYC. I kept it casual chic and slightly patriotic with a red flowy summer dress from Forever 21+ and my favorite navy Jeffery Campbell platforms. The weather in NYC is finally perf, no jacket or sweater needed. Just a piece of advice, platforms might not be the best choice in footwear for going on a boat… oh well, they went nicely with the dress!

Merry 1st of May everyone! It may be May but I have dug out my old tights yet again due to New York’s unpredictable spring weather. It may be chilly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dress for spring, you just need a few extra layers. This is one of my favorite ASOS Curve dresses which I purchased last spring, all my friends have seen me in this dress during all seasons because its so versatile to dress up or dress down. Here I was on my way to class so I paired it with flats and my favorite jean jacket! I just made a few purchases from ASOS’ spring sale and I have some new pieces I’m really excited to share, stay tuned!

As a grad student, most of my weekdays I dress very casual. Here I’m wearing a t-shirt from Forever21, and my favorite jeggings from Calvin Klein. A great way to revamp the classic jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt look is to add on a blazer. I love vintage blazers and this hot pink one was a $9 fabulous find at a salvation army in Philadelphia. My favorite thing to look for at thrift stores are blazers. Try everything on and ignore the size on the tag, the important thing is that the arms fit (every plus-sized princess knows there’s nothing worse than having a jacket that’s too tight on the arms… ugh so uncomfortable)! My new school bag is from Cambridge Satchel and my sunglasses are Prada.

For an easy “effortlessly fabulous” outfit for a lunch or running errands its easy to look put together while layering. I paired these lovely ASOS Curve velvet panel leggings with a striped long sleeve top from forever 21. I completed the look with some statement wedges, a big scarf and heart shaped sunglasses. Its easy to look casual and chic during wintertime with some colorful accessories to keep cute and warm!
